The London Brow Company: The history behind Brow Lamination

Brow Lamination has been around for about three years however it only made its way into the UK beauty industry in 2019. Before then, the treatment was mostly unheard of in the UK and there were no accredited courses running. The treatment originated from Russia, but it is now making its mark in the beauty industry worldwide.

What is Brow Lamination and how does it work?

Brow lamination involves straightening and lifting the hairs using a chemical solution, which allows the hairs to have more flexibility to move them into your desired shape, therefore covering any gaps or stray areas. A fixing solution is then applied to keep the hairs straight for up to 12 weeks and takes 30 minutes. The result? Thicker, fuller, uniform brow shape- that are natural and enhancing!  Giving you a brow shape you never knew you had.

What are the benefits?

As well as promising “I woke up like this” eyebrows. The benefits of brow lamination is to straighten existing brow hair.  For those with sparse brows, by straightening brow hairs we can cover sparse areas, give a fuller brow look by lifting the brows and forming a new fuller brow shape.  Lifted Brows remain in place where you place them so you don’t need make up or brow gel to keep them in the position you want, Brow Lamination will do that for you. For those who don’t have a brow shape we can mould the brows into a new shape giving them a lovely raised arch and long brow tails by sculpting  the hairs into different areas of the brows.

A Brow lamination can also make you look 10 years younger! It’s an instant eyelift.  Once you lift the brow you raise the under arch giving your eye a more open eye appearance, a brow lift without the anti-ageing injectables!!

Which celebrities have tried it?

Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, Jesy Nelson,  Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Laura Whitmore and Dua Lipa to name just a few.

Do I need any aftercare?

This is a low maintenance treatment although you do need to take care of your brows once you have had them laminated.  You should use a brow serum daily or weekly depending on your brow hair health, try The London Brow Company Keratin Boost Brow Serum, £24.99. It has been designed to be used within 4 hours of brow lamination and can be used as an overnight intense oil or can be put on to brush your brows up when doing your make up to give them a glossy finish while keeping them strong and healthy! Brush gently onto brows daily or twice weekly as required.

How much does it cost and where can you get it done?

Brow Lamination depends on location and salon but The London Brow Company offer it across salons nationwide which you can search here and is around £60 – £70 for a full brow lamination with a shape and tint. Results can last for 12 weeks… so it really is brilliant brow investment.
