With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, our clients have certainly been feeling the love! With features in the Guardian, the Mail Online, Vogue and more, it’s been another fantastic week at Flipside PR.
According to the latest in lingerie trends, women are increasingly opting to put comfort and functionality first. Swapping fussy lace and fidgety fastenings for a second skin feel, there’s certainly lots to love about eco-undies brand Boody. And we’re not the only ones who think so! This week, the Mail Online picked their Padded Shaper Bra to stand among the best buys for Valentine’s.
Boody’s bamboo basics also made an appearance in Stylist this week, as well as featuring in the Daily Star’s Valentine’s gift guide!
Another client receiving a whole lot of love this week was Drowsy. Revealing how many of us are still struggling with our shuteye, Vogue named the Mulberry Silk Eye Mask as one of the dreamiest sleep accessories to help you doze off.
“If normal eye masks don’t cut it for you, then make Drowsy’s mulberry silk number your next port of call. Larger and squishier than the average, it will block out every drop of light and, crucially, stay put around your head, thanks to the adjustable velcro at the back.”
OK!’s Inge Van Lotringen joined in sharing her love for the luxury light-blocker, counting it among her top tips to optimise your sleep.
We don’t know about you, but 8 hours of beauty sleep sounds like a pretty perfect present right now. Both Tyla and Crave included the silk eye mask in their Valentine’s gift guide this week. Meanwhile, ELLE rated it among the best presents to please your mum!
With salon treatments still very much off the cards, we’re all searching for the next best thing. Boasting instant lip-plumping properties, DermaQuest’s Stem Cell 3D Lip Enhancer was named the perfect ‘in lieu of lip fillers’ product by Crave Magazine. Offering the best in affordable at-home alternatives, essence’s What the Fake! Plumping lip gloss received a glowing review, too.
Offering up more lockdown beauty solutions, OK! explained how to combat itchy skin with gentle cleansing bars. Free from sulphate surfactants, No Secrets’ Solo Bars were featured as a handy all-in-one end to irritation.
“Infused with aromatherapy blends, these little bars purify every bit of you without the drying draw backs”.
Exploring the safety concerns surrounding BBL surgery, BAAPS president Mary O’Brien spoke to The Guardian of the organisation’s endeavour to highlight irresponsible practices in the industry.
“The irresponsible marketing, the glamorisation, the trivialisation, the incentivisation…These are all things that our organisation is trying to highlight as areas of concern.”
Plus, CATRICE picked up some great print coverage this week. Their True Skin Hydrating Foundation was featured in a total of 14 regional news titles!
That brings another week’s round up to a close but we’ll be back next Friday with more highlights!
Have a lovely weekend,
Love Flipside x
