Flipside Friday Round Up

With the countdown to Christmas well and truly underway, Team Flipside got into the festive spirit this week whilst preparing lots of creative Christmas mailers. Curious to see what our elves have been up to? All will be unwrapped in next week’s round up!

By now, we are all only too familiar with the effects that face masks and harsh hand sanitisers can have on our skin. What with many of us heading back into offices following the easing of lockdown restrictions, we took the chance to share how to stay protected without compromising the health of our complexions.

A care package of true 2020 ilk, we teamed the Babington Soap Co.’s Moisturising Hand Sanitiser with Boody’s SoftTouch Face Masks to form the ultimate ‘soft and safe’ send-out. Crafted from organically grown bamboo, Boody’s moisture-wicking face masks work to prevent the build-up of bacteria on the surface of the skin, keeping the dreaded maskne at bay. Armed with a plant-based, pharmaceutical-grade moisturiser, the Babington Soap Co.’s Moisturising Sanitiser effectively kills 99.9% of germs while leaving hands feeling silky soft and smooth. Two to throw in your handbag wherever you go – we reckon they make the perfect partners!

In fact, The Babington Soap Co.’s 2-in-1 treat was recognised as one of the best sanitisers on the market this week by Crave.

Tess Daly’s go-to lash serum was once again the talk of the town this week. The Mail Online included RevitaLash’s Advanced Eyelash Conditioner in their Beauty Upgrades tipped by Tess.

With a hoard of celebrity fans to boast, it’s unsurprising that the serum’s popularity hasn’t waned. Its UK sales were up by 40% this year, with a serum sold every 33 seconds globally.

Healthier, lengthier lashes are clearly a trend that never goes out of style!

Both Grazia and Woman & Home ran pieces on the wonder serum endorsed by the Duchess, no less.

Another one of our clients going from strength to strength, Drowsy also snapped up some great coverage this week. A remarkable case study of a woman suffering from Chronic Fatigue made headline news on the Mail Online, sharing how the brand’s sleep aids had helped dramatically improve her sleep.

“Since using these products, I’ve noticed my deep sleep has increased from its usual 0-10 minutes a night to now over three hours. It has honestly been life-changing.”

The brand’s ultra-luxe black sleep mask was also included in the Mail Online’s Christmas gift guide for him.

After releasing their triple lock guidelines last week, BAAPS featured in the Exeter Daily with their questions designed to curb the increase in impulse surgery.

“The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons offers a fourteen-point list of questions that would-be patients might ask before undergoing the procedure. Among the most important of these is the first one: to make your own decisions, rather than thinking about what other people’s opinion might be. If you’re trying to satisfy your partner rather than yourself, then you might end up disappointed.”

This advice is certainly worth bearing in mind if you’ve been planning any post-lockdown treatments.

Can surgery be as addictive as piercings and tattoos?

As temperatures dropped this week, we welcomed Country & Town House’s tips for winter hydration. Arbonne’s AgeWell Collagen Nurturing Serum made it into the article’s list of stand-out products for keeping skin soft and plump this season.
