Flipside Friday Round Up

Posted on: 16th October, 2020

As winter approaches and daylight soon draws to a close, things show no signs of slowing here at Flipside, with another week bursting full of client coverage.

It’s been a particularly busy week for BAAPS, who were mentioned in Women’s Health, Aesthetics Journal, Yahoo! and the Sun.

Aesthetics Journal celebrated the association’s momentous appointment of its first ever female president, Mary O’Brien.

“Commenting on her new role, Miss O’Brien said, “I am very grateful to many mentors both male and female who helped me to pursue a career that I love. Plastic surgeons are not defined by their gender, but rather their training and skill set. I hope to be able to continue to contribute to training future generations of plastic surgeons in this fulfilling career.”

Advocating for greater restrictions in cosmetic surgery, the British and Scottish Sun ran a story on their BAAPS-backed campaign calling for fillers to be made illegal for under 18s:

Last but not least for online coverage, ABC Lasers received mention in the Daily Mail for its transformative treatment of TOWIE star Amber Turner.

“After just three £200 sessions of ‘Accent Prime’ at Dr Medi Spa in Loughton, a treatment that involves controlled ultrasound and radiofrequency energy, the reality star was left with a more defined and contoured jaw line.”
